SYMPTOMS and SIGNS

ACROMEGALY is a hormonal disorder.

Symptoms and signs may include :

Mark bony and soft tissue change.
Nose enlarge.
Tongue enlarge.
Including an altered facial appearance.
Change in appearance from old photoes.
Facial feature become more coarse.
Thick and greasy skin.
Soft tissue thickening of the palms of the hands and sole of the feet.
Enlargement of hands.
Ring of fingers become very tight.
Increase in size of hands and size of ring or fingers.
Increase in shoe size requirement as feet enlarge in width.
Enlargement of forehead and jaw.
Lower jaw expands outwards causing trouble with the teeth and clicking as one eats.
Pronounced under or overbite.
Deep voice.
Sinus problem.
Carpal tunnel syndrome.
Tarsal tunnel syndrome.
Tingling sensation especially in hands due to trapped nerves.
Arthritis.
Muscle weakness.
Joint pain.
Oily skin and excessive sweating.
Profound tiredness.
Fatigue.
Depression.
Interrupted menstrual cycle (amenorrhea).
Lactation (galactorrhea).
Loss of vision, double vision, poor vision.
Sleep apnea.
Falling asleep at anytime.
Yet a restless sleep with snoring.
Headache.
Heart disease and heart enlargement.
Cardiomegaly and left ventricular hypertoopy.
May include accelerated cardiovascular disease, hypertension and diabetes.
Possibly and increased risk of colon polyps and colon cancer.
